Camping Facility
We have 50 sites to choose from. All on the grass and mostly in the shadow of old oak trees. Each gives a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere, which will let you enjoy what nature has to offer. And when it comes to basic facilities, there should be no problem because everything that you would possibly need during your stay will surely be provided. The sites are suitable for caravans, tents, and 4×4 trailers, each equipped with an electric point. Make sure to state clearly with what you will be camping so we can provide a big enough camping space. For the hot summer days, you can enjoy a dip in the swimming pool filled with cold mountain spring water or a swim in the dam. In fact, we give you 3 swimming locations, so YOU get to choose. We make sure that you will always have a clean ablution and running hot water. All the comforts of home.
4×4 Trail
Koningskop is beautiful and boasts majestic mountain ranges, indigenous fynbos & wildlife. What better way to explore this than go on a 4×4-trail.
We offer two 4×4 trails. One for the more experienced driver which is called the Pretoriuskrans 4×4-trail & grades between 3.5-5. The panoramic view over the Swartland landscape on top is worth the drive. The other trail is an easier 4×4-route with scenic views over Koningskop and mountains. On this trail you will also pass the Bushman drawings.
Restaurant
What can be better than a traditional wood-fired pizza and wine on the deck while admiring the nature? Koningskop Lapa is open for all campers on Saturdays. Come unwind on the deck overlooking the dam while watching the wide variety of birdlife on the farm. Sport and cash bar is available for all sport lovers.
Hiking Trail
The Hiking Trail, which is marked out by arrows, is a circle route which takes about one and a half hours to complete. On the trail, nature and hiking lovers will be impressed with the rock formations and beautiful views of the valley.
2024 Rates
Pensioners: R120 p/p per night (Monday-Thursday; excl. school and public holidays)
Adults: R160 p/p per night
Children 6 years and older: R150 p/p (includes the use of supertube and slide)
Children 2 – 5 years: R100 p/p
Children under 2 years: FREE
Cottages (4 Sleeper): R1300 per night
Other important points:
- No pets allowed
- No loud noises
- No 3 and 4-wheelers (quad bikes)
- No noisy 2-wheelers
- The speed limit within the campsite is 20km/h
- The restaurant will only be open if the campsite is busy. Please make a special arrangement should you plan to use the restaurant
To secure your site a 50% deposit must be paid. The balance is due before arrival via bank transfer. Please take note of our terms and conditions.
